Marjorie Taylor Greene Is One Twitter Violation Away From a Permanent Ban

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, holds a news conference to address her recent comments comparing Covid-19 precautions to the Holocaust in Washington, D.C., U.S., on Monday, June 14, 2021. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Twitter account has been suspended for a week for posting COVID-19 misinformation, and the Georgia congresswoman is just one more violation away from a permanent ban. And based on Twitter’s own policies about repeat offenders, it looks like Greene is one more strike away from being permanently banned from the platform. Greene has already established accounts on alternative platforms, including Gab, Telegram, and Parler, where she has amassed hundreds of thousands of followers. She also has a Facebook page with almost 300,000 followers—though she didn’t post the message about vaccines “failing” on that account on Monday evening.
